The Sign of The Grove Inn, Clayton, Manchester
The sign of The Grove Inn, a Joseph Holts pub on Ashton New Road, Clayton.
I usually only photograph pub signs from one side but in this case I did it from both sides. It wasn't until I looked at the two photographs that I noticed the differences.
A contribution to signs, signs.

British signs are so filled with charm and personality. Lovely. genie
ReplyDeleteI love pub signs.
ReplyDeleteThat is a fine pub sign showing both summer and winter. Genie got it right.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty sign!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading signs. Really a treat to see some from another port of world. Always nice when you drop by and leave a comment.
ReplyDeleteI was the artist to paint this sign. I was working at Donna Hartley Designs and a colleague looking at the winter side I was painting and said the lady looked pregnant so I decided to paint a spring side with the couple pushing a pram.
