Cows

What did you do on Bank Holiday Monday?

I went herding cows.

JoAnn started it with a picture of a cow on Through My Digital Eyes

I immediately remembered these forming a road block on Ardnamurchan

and then I recalled these found at Hornindal Bridge, Norway, July 2005.

Here are a couple dozen or so more cow pictures:

  1. Ah, Ardnamurchan! Where nobody goes anywhere fast - and doesn't want to either.

  2. Thank you for the link. I like cows or I should say I like certain cows more than others. I saw a cow this morning on a blog and it was a kind of hairy creature that I never saw before. I liked it.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and commenting about my dad's clock.

    I appreciate it a lot.

  4. Herding cows could be fun once in a while. :-)

Thank you for linking to my posts. May I suggest another cow post if it's not already on your list? It's Richard's Zürich blog. He's in-between migrating websites so the page is inaccessible right now, but the title was "Kuh" and it was from earlier this month.

  6. I'm udderly grateful for the link too. Mooved, in fact!

Gotta love the poor things: they've had so much bad press lately, what with foot and mouth, so I thoroughly approve of herding digital cows to give them some positive exposure.

  10. I remember a milk cow named Flossie. I milked her on my grandparents fark as a bot. I think that she was a Jersey or a Guernsey. :-)

  11. Thanks for the link Gerald, and thanks to the omnipresent-ever-eagle-eyed z in villigen.
Ardnamurchan reminds me of childhood holidays in damp cottages with damp cattle.
(Boy, you have a lot of blogs/websites on your hands)
