  3. The waiting will soon be over. More blooms are coming for this patient bird.

  4. Ooh, I like this one as I think black birds are beautiful. Last month I saw a giant one having a bath in a small puddle on a lawn after a rainstorm and it was delightful. Thanks for nominating me for the six word meme but I did that one recently. If you come up with something different in the future will be glad to participate. Hope all is well with you and that Spring touches you with its beauty.

  5. In my opinion yellow is the colour of spring, though I might let the green in a little bit. Especially if you can include a bird!

    Peacefully excellent.

  6. Wonderful photo and haiku. Your waiting blackbird would be a great addition to Anna Carson's Project Green.

  7. Gerald,

The waiting seems forever sometimes. I like
    the yellow on the green.

I am going somewhere else here with the black bird. It strikes a funny with me! Can be taken both ways. He seems an ornery fellow!
    (bloomin black bird)!
    Ramble, ramble.

As for daisy chains, great idea for a summer craft with the kids. I've never attempted one. Thanks!

  10. Lovely photo, I have been trying to take a photo of blackbirds in my garden but they never stay still long enough.

  11. I admire your photograph as much as the poem. I can never get my blackbirds to wait for my lens to focus. It seems they are always in such a hurry here!

  12. I naturally don't know your blackbirds, but if like ours or like our grackles, the blacks do blossom with colors and sheens that are always changing. I wasn't able to study haiku this week but simply did what was in my heart. Have a good week, Gerald.

  16. Ah, a bloomin' blackbird. Curse them! (Or at least that's what I hear when I read "blooming.") Love the colorful images you convey in words.
