Skywatch Friday: Haughton Green
On Monday, after all the snow had melted away, I went on a photo-shoot around Haughton Green. I found myself on the recreation ground which was now somewhat squelchy.
It was still quite cold but the sky was bright and the sun was casting long shadows. Over the trees I captured these lovely clouds.
For a view of the soggy field and the sky in the opposite direction see Winter Haiku 2008/2009.

That shot is a breath of fresh air, so clean and peaceful.

A sky that somehow reminds me of quite another time of the year!
ReplyDeletePS Thank you for the comment! Regarding the camera and the Hospital: it was a small compact one that I always carry in my belt and I followed the principle that it is better to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
Love that shot. I miss green trees and they look so lovely againsst the blue sky.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot, Gerald. I saw clouds like that over Little Rock, Arkansas just this afternoon. Same sort of clouds, but the territory they were over is not nearly as beautiful as Haughton Green.
ReplyDeleteLovely blue sky. It seems as if Spring is on its way..
ReplyDeletei like the lightness of this photo.
ReplyDeleteSuch a poetic image,
ReplyDeletea congregation of trees and clouds herding themselves.
Beautiful setting which is a place i would love to sit and watch the clouds pass by

lovey capture, I like how the clouds seem to be moving
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Love those clouds.
ReplyDeleteLovely bright sky. It's while since we've seen one. In fact it's been 6 weeks of fog, rain, snow, rain, fog, snow,...and today, as yesterday and day before, wind and snow. And no end in sight. Count the sunny days on one hand, Gerald. You do right to make the most of 'em. It'd be ok if "the damned Vienna wind" as Beethoven used to call it, would stop blowing.
