Sky Watch Friday: Manchester Rain
Here is my contribution this week to Skywatch Friday.
Where is the sky?
Well you don't always have to look up to see the sky - when it rains you see it reflected in the puddles, especially in Manchester which has a reputation for rain second only to Bergen.
The lights are on green, the arrow points left, we are on our way to find a new sky to view.

Oh, very neat Gerald!
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you for that! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHaving seen the rain both places it is equally wet...
But the reflection was very neat!
I suddenly remember why I left England!
ReplyDeleteI love reflections! And this is a clever shot.
ReplyDeleteClever! I've used reflections of the sky before, but never in a puddle. There's a symmetry about that that I really like.
ReplyDeletei find reflection shots very intriquing and somewhat mysterious. took a whole series recently while on vacation in italy ... will get them posted one day soon.
ReplyDeletehave a great weekend.
Very unique shot, I love it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

Really clever and fun shot! Reminds of our skies in Seattle! I wish you blue skies and sun -- soon! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteTraffic lights, puddles, reflections. My kind of image. Traffic lights are not used enough in photography for me and I am the world's foremost puddles photographer. Well it does rain a lot here.
ReplyDeleteDidní know you went in for pavement art... a lovely shot.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very unique piece and so true! The reflection in water or on the street can tell us a lot about the state of the sky!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit to Evolving Scenes :)
Why not in a puddle? I like reflections too, reflections everywhere (that time I had evening clouds on windows).
ReplyDeleteMay-be, taking part of SW, we notice now sky everywhere?
yes I remember Manchester rain...
ReplyDeleteI love your picture! How perfectly clever! Guess what? Our skies in North America are much like your skies. Filled with Rain : ). Never ending Rain! Is it true what they say? April showers do bring May flowers? I hope so!
ReplyDeletewell done Gerald
