Signs at the end of Hulme Road

The sign denotes that the speed limit on Manchester Road ahead is 40mph and this is the end of the 20mph zone.

The poplar trees visible in the background are in the grounds of Denton Golf Course.

A contribution to signs, signs.

  1. I find it hard now to relate to mph since we have been kmph for so long over here.

  2. How do we know that this is mph and not kmph? Always good to come to the higher speed roads.

  4. We liked the way street signs were posted on the sides of old buildings when we visited London, so this brought back sweet memories.

  5. I take it Hulme Road is more residential than Manchester Road?

  8. Looks pretty distinctive to tell where one zone ends and another begins. The poplars are lovely....we had some on the farm when I was a kid, so tall and slender.
