Skywatch Friday: Gee Cross Fete
Last Sunday was Gee Cross Fete. It was cool and a bit breezy while I was there in the early part of the afternoon, but it brightened up and got quite warm a little later.
This is a shot of the sky over the top of the marquee. It is cropped from a much larger photograph I took of the band playing in front of the marquee. However, the leader of the band is frowning at me and the light is all wrong and it is a messy photo, so, as far as the original subject is concerned, the photograph is a reject.
Lose the ground and we are left with this!
A collection of nineteen different photographs from the Fete can be found at Gee Cross Fete 2008 which also has links to pictures from previous years.

I see that I have missed so many beautiful posts on your blog but there just aren’t enough hours in the day. By the way my English slowing me down in catching up with my blogging friends which I would like to visit more regularly.
ReplyDeleteBut most of all I am very much sorry when I got to know that you sister passed away. I know that you’ll always miss her.
I like your Sky Watch photo; those law and frowned clouds really looks interesting.
Good idea to isolate the sky from the rest of the photo!
ReplyDeleteNice Sky Watch capture. I clicked to see the Gee Cross Fete. Looks like a lot of fun. I liked the picture of the sky with the airplane and church steeple.
ReplyDeleteIt was not a loss in SWF - it seems you were lucky to have that tent.
