ABC Wednesday:
F is for Fishcakes
I was just rummaging through my drawers and came across a little book entitled "Good Things made, said and done, for every Home & Household 9th edition". Published in Leeds, 1883 by Goodall, Backhouse & Co of White Horse Street.
So I thought I'd share with you this recipe for fishcakes. You'll probably need to click on the image in order to read it properly.

Am not particularly fond of fish but fishcakes is something I enjoy sometimes

The recipe looks likely to give a delicious result. I love fish (and fishcakes), but these days, it is difficult to find fishcakes that contain more than 35% fish.
ReplyDeleteThe Daughter likes fishcakes. I don't mind them; had them a LOT as a child.

I haven't had fish cakes in years!! I see fish sticks in the stores but haven't bought any. I suspect they would be quite fattening, but I think I'll take a closer look at the package when I see them next. If I get fatter I'll blame you!
ReplyDeleteI just found one in my home. Mine is the 11th. edition - 1883
