A personal blog by Ackworth born Gerald England who married a Lancashire lass, went West and now lives in Cheshire.
I had to look twice - the clouds looked like mountains!
Yup. It does look likes a mountain! Nicely captured!~
I was trying to figure out where the hills were round Blackpool! Really dramatic shot. I hope that weather was on its way out and not in..
Beautiful, Gerald.
Great shot Gerald. The sun is always shining above the clouds.
Wonderful picture with lovely colours!
Love the way you captured the clouds Gerald.
That is a great capture. You don't get too many chances like that.
Lovely shot. I have never been to Blackpool.
The lining beneath the dark grey clouds draw the attention, special effect.
That's a very striking picture! I've never been to Blackpool - my husband (who lived in Lytham St Anne's, just down the coast, for a while) says I haven't missed much!
Lovely shot and nicely composed.
What unusual clouds! Beautiful shot! Happy SWF. :)

I usually look for the vibrant, but I like these pastels.

Beautiful shot. The clouds look like mountains in the background.
It looks like I could just bounce over the clouds.lionsmane
That is so cinematically real, I can hear the threatening theme music to accompany the clouds looming up. eeek!
Wow. That's an amazing sky. Can't imagine how ominous that would look if I were in a boat watching that roll overhead.
So many layers and contrasts in this picture. Very interesting shot and the pink of the top is so dainty compared to the black clouds rolling in.
Blackpool's the place to go for winter storms. Big waves crash ashore. Quite often have to close promenade. Every winter someone gets swept away.
Lovely to see Blackpool in a different light.
Good capture, hope you didn't get the rain.
