First video: Robin

This is the first bit of video footage I've taken with my camera, so this is just an experiment. It is 17 seconds and shows a robin on the bird-feeder; it was quite windy, so the feeder was swinging a bit.

The file on my camera was 23Mb so how it will run on blogger, I don't know. Comments welcome, but bear in mind this my first ever attemt at this sort of thing.

Loading the file up into blogger took about 20 minutes so how it downloads/plays remains to be seen. [I'm typing the post up as I write this]
You can continue to edit your post during upload, but can't close this window or publish until it's finished.

Now it says

Processing took a few minutes only.

  1. Gerald, I can see your first video fine. It just needs a little light. :) I thought about getting a bird feeder myself, but never got around to it.

  2. Your video is cute and it runs just fine. I don't understand why it took so long to upload; mine load to Blogger in about 30 seconds and they're usually 3 - 4 minutes long.

I do use Microsoft Moviemaker to process my videos which is free.

  3. It didn’t take me long to upload your video and I could see it fine although it is rather dark so that bird looks like mobile silhouette. But the video is cute anyway.

  4. Nice vid. More please?

Photobucket is a nice photo hosting site where you can upload your vids much quicker than on blogger. The image is larger and higher quality, too. Can't wait to see more.

  5. Ran no problem for me - could do with being a bit lighter.

  6. Hi,
i have never posted a video on my blog, This must be a .avi file which has to be cnverted to Compressed MPEG file(little loss of quality) You can either upload the MPEG on YouTube or upload on photo bucket and paste the link on your post.

Feeding the birds is not a right thing to do. They become dependant on humans.

Took me a while to visit you, sorry about that, been traveling, Going again tomorrow.
    Thank you Ackworth Born
