There are tractor restoration people out here who would close to kill to restore that beauty. I have a 50+ year old massey ferguson, still in reasonable working order. They don't make things they way they used to.
I love this old tractor. I grew up on tractors in Kansas. Farmers can never let go of them. They're a part of the family. They just retire and sit in the pasture, getting older and more beautiful. More perfect.
Are you planning a move and don't you want anybody else to know about the property?
ReplyDeletewith the economy, I'm sure their are many abandoned farms... such a shame@
ReplyDeleteWow! What a shame. Great shot, though.
ReplyDeleteSadly, it seems easy to find abandoned things these days. Terrific shot, Gerald, it says it all!

ReplyDeleteLooks as if it might be a battery chicken farm with guano piled up in front!
ReplyDeleteThat is just the coolest tractor.. I love this picture. I watercolor, and that's crying out to be painted.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sad photograph!
ReplyDeletestrange nobody came and strip it down for spareparts.
ReplyDeleteMay be it still works, vroom!!!
Understatement of the year - at least the tractor seems to be abandoned.
