As part of LLAWN03 Mr & Mrs Clark were in Llandudno to present their Medicine Show.
The show combines song, dance and a dark sense of comedy to entertain, ridicule and provoke good health practice.
Members of the audience are cured of bad auras and returned to a state of utopian happiness.

Llandudno is in Wales, isn't it? Long ago we were camping out in Wales and we visited Llandudno. I love Wales and so did our children.We saw the castle and Betws- el- Coed, which was impressive for all of us.

Llandudno is on my list to visit next time I'm over as my Nana Jones was born there in the late 1800s. But I must ask, is there a reason why the lady's stockings are all torn and holey?

It is part of the costume – something in the “burlesque” tradition I suppose or maybe it is what is known as "shabby chicque"

ReplyDeleteMy goodness. They're going to scare people into staying healthy! A new meaning to medicine show .., in the old west over here on this side of the pond those were traveling shows that hawked patent medicines, usually which had a lot of alcohol in them.
