Venting Pipes at Manchester Square Pumping Station
Manchester Square pumping station discharges screened foul and surface water sewage from areas of south and central Blackpool into the Irish Sea during periods of storm surge. Normally, this waste water is treated and discharged from Fleetwood.
Blackpool Tower is visible in the background and the Ferris wheel on Central pier can be seen on the left.
