ABC Wednesday - P is for Pole Bank Perambulation

I recently went on a perambulation around Pole Bank on the border of Tameside (Hyde) and Stockport (Woodley).

Now a private nursing home, it was once the home of the Ashton family, prominent mill-owners. The grounds, however are a public open space.

These steps would lead you back towards the Hall, but if you continue along the path you will arrive at the pond.

There is another view of this pond on Hyde Daily Photo and an even better one on my photoblog Sithenah.

A vintage view of Pole Bank Hall can be found on Old Hyde.

To visit more ABC-Wednesday P posts go to Mrs. Nesbitt's Place.
